He who will soon be named....

“In Dreams we enter a world that’s entirely our own.
Let them swim in the deepest ocean or glide over the highest cloud!”

                                                                      - Albus Dumbledore -

Yep, I am in a Harry Potter mood today!!! But it's mostly because I am gonna share with you one of my favorite projects from this summer. A Harry Potter themed Baby Shower invite and matching "bring a book" card!!!
I have to admit I had so much fun designing these cards. I am a total HP fan and these invites absolutely brought out the literature nerd in me, and I love it!!!

These adorable invites were for a dear family friend who is welcoming her 1st born in just a few months. A little BOY!!! The nursery is Owls and Harry Potter, so naturally the baby shower was theme fitting as well. So cute, and so special for this little precious baby on the way!

ENJOY and congrats Megan and Aaron on your little one on the way!!

Christmas Countdown #7 - Reflect the Lords Glory!

This time of year a lot of us tend to start reflecting about all that has happened this year as we near the end of 2015. The good, the bad, the ups, the downs. If any of you are like me, you could probably write a book about the things that have happened this year. Yes, it is a good time to reflect on all that we have come through, learned, and overcome in the year 2015.

It is also a time to reflect on The ONE whom this Holiday is all about in the first place. Our Christmas Countdown design for today is a custom verse print I designed for the Upon The Rock's silent auction. It is the camp verse for this year and one that I have often found myself going back to again and again. Yes, who are we reflecting? What do our words and actions have to say about who we serve and how we live? Such a powerful encouraging verse with a wonderful reminder and promise that we are HIS! Chosen and loved, being transformed into His perfect likeness!!

ENJOY and may you all know that you are loved today!!!

The Solid Rock...

Happy Tuesday!!!!

Today I am sharing a little print that is very near and dear to my heart. The words of my fathers favorite Hymn, put into image with my fathers favorite hobby. My father has always been an avid rock climber, which is why this song was one of his favorites. So merging these two is an image I have had in my head a lot lately and I finally had the chance to put that image in visual form. It is a promise, a reminder, a comfort... that when all else around us seems to be falling and fading and sinking away.... we have a solid rock to cling to!!!!

ENJOY!!!

Long Days, Short Years.

"LONG may be the DAYS but SHORT are the YEARS."
This has been stuck in my head for the past few months now. It has almost become my mommy motto if you will. I think it came up in a conversation with a friend of mine who was in the process of seeing her daughter off to college.... and I was in the middle of trying to survive with a 5 year old and am infant, piles of laundry, teething, toys all over the floor, dishes to be washed, and a thousand "mommy I need..."s. The list could go on. Being a mom is not always easy and having little ones underfoot can make for some really, really, REALLY long exhausting days.

I don't remember our whole conversation that day, but what stuck in my head were these 4 little words,

"Long Days, Short Years."

And it hit me.. YES, what a wonderful reminder this was from a mom who has walked this road and her children are now off on their own. In the blink of an eye I was given perspective, a perspective I have thought long and hard on. Eyes to try to look past the weary days and remember that these precious years we have with our small children are few and fleeting. In those times when sleep is all this mommy wants.. or when I long for one single second of quite in the constant chatter of two small girls. I have to stop and remind myself that these years are short.. and I need to enjoy them.. even when the days are hard.

So to all my dear fellow mommy friends, to those who have been a mom for 1 day or 100 years, to those who love on their nieces and nephews, to those who have been a mother at heart but never held their own child in their arms, to those who have raised another mothers child as your own, to the grandmothers and great-grandmothers... or to anyone at all who knows the value of a day and how precious time with loved ones can be, may you take this reminder to heart and enjoy the long days!

ENJOY and Happy Mother's Day!!!!

Christmas Showcase #18 - To Remember...

ONE week till Christmas, oh my, it is getting so close and we are getting so excited!!! What is not to love about the Holidays??? The lights, the music, the food, the exchanging of gifts, the warmth of family and friends spending time with each other..... To most it is indeed the most wonderful time of the year. But to others... those who have recently lost a loved one, or who are going through a difficult time in their lives. Christmas may not be as merry and bright.

No, I don't want to be a "debbie downer", but my heart also aches for those I know and love who are hurting this year. The celebrations may be wonderful, but the pain is still real.

A week or two ago I was asked to create a custom design of a quote for a dear family who recently lost a dear man in their life. Three versions of the same quote to remember their Husband and Father who was taken from this earth far too soon. I can not say I love projects like this one, but I am honored to have a small hand it bringing these beautiful memories to this family in their time of need.

ENJOY, and please give those you love an extra hug this Christmas season!!!!

Christmas Showcase #6 - a few more Quotes...

Well today is headed to a close soon but I did not want to miss the opportunity to share with you another fun Quote Print for todays showcase.

I was asked a few weeks ago if I could create a custom Quote Print. Why, yes, yes I can! I love being able to take the ideas others have and present them as a reality. This has got to be one of the most fun and rewarding parts of my job. Having a hand in bringing these ideas to life.

So without further ado here is another fun Quote print for you to ENJOY!!!
