Out with the old and in with the new! I am so excited to share some fun new cards we created recently for the amazing Spirit Love Traveling Boutique!! New postcards with an Old vintage feel. Christmas Countdown #9 - A Very Groovy Holiday!

Happy Snow Day!!!

We are enjoying a beautiful, yet cold, snow day today and it is time to party like it's 1975...

Oh wait. No, not really. It is just Christmas Countdown #9!

But I do have a fun retro Holiday Poster to share with you all today. The annual Garfield & Hecht Holiday Party theme this year was a throwback to 40 years ago when the company first started. I love how fun and colorful this poster turned out and hope the party was super groovy!!! Congrats on 40 years of business!!!

Summertime Fun!!!

I LOVE Summer and all that it brings with it. Swimming, sun, outdoors, hiking, bbq's, and my all time favorite CAMP!!!

There is something truly amazing about living in the Rocky Mountains that can be lost and taken for granted in the midst of every day life. We have such grander and awe inspiring majesty just waiting outside our door. I recently worked on a few fun summer themed projects for CMC that gave me the opportunity to really display the colorful beauty of a Colorado Summer!!! I love how these turned out and I am excited to hear about all the fun adventures these students had with their summer learning experiences!!

A little Summertime fun!

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all are enjoying the warmth and sun that these days are bringing. School is out and the sprinklers are ON!!! I love summer and the green of everything around me, the crisp warm late nights, and wearing flip flops!!!

Recently I have been working on some super fun colorful projects for CMC and I thought today would be a perfect day to share some of them with you. (Stay tuned more to come later this summer!)

Hello and Happy Sunny Summer Tuesday!!!!

One of the best parts of my job is getting to work Small Business to Small Business!!! I have met so many awesome small business entrepreneurs in this line of work and I LOVE being able to help them out in their ventures. One of these amazing entrepreneurs is my dear friend Rachael who owns Spirit Love, a Mobile Fashion Boutique. I have been constantly inspired and encouraged by her passion for what she does and her drive to keep growing and following her business dreams and goals.

I was recently asked to help design some new marketing postcards for her to hand out at shows and parties and I LOVE how they turned out!!! If you ever need fashion/shopping advice or are in the market for some super cute unique clothing items Rachael is your girl!!!!

Everything's so Green!!

Hello and Happy Earth Day!!!

We just got back from a wonderful field trip exploring nature and the beauties of creation with my girls where we got to get dirty and enjoy this wonderful world we are blessed to live in. Hope you all are taking time to enjoy the beauty outside today!!!

As you all may well know I LOVE the color green!!! And since Earth Day has a lot to do with green things I thought I would share a few fun "Green" projects I have been working on recently with CMC. It is awesome to see a college and community committed to keeping this wonderful world we live in a beautiful place for generations to come.

Happy Spring!!!

The first Tuesday of Spring is here!! I love the change of the seasons... and apparently so does my daughter. She has been running around wishing everyone "Happy Spring" since Friday as if it was some kind of national holiday! Love it!!!

So to kick off this wonderful time of the year as we celebrate the Newness of Life in all the little flowers and buds around us, I wanted to share a fun New business I have had the opportunity to work with recently.

My talented Brother-in-Law, Jon Downing, has recently started up a new lawn care business called Northern Landscaping Services and asked if I would help them design a logo and some marketing materials as they kick off this new adventure. I love the ideas he had for a fun, fresh, 'clean-cut', look for their Logo and coordinating flyer and I was honored to be a part of this start up process. I am super excited for this new small business and I can't wait to watch the clients just come rolling in!

By a Nurse, for a Nurse...

Happy Tuesday!!!

Just wanted to stop in and share with you one of the fun new designs we have been working on recently.

Often I find myself getting to work on custom cards, or logos, or flyers for various events and marketing needs. BUT it is a rare thing to get to work on package design, well at least for me it is. I love the new challenge it brings to come up with the perfect size and placement for whatever the product may be.

I recently had the opportunity to partner with a wonderful nurse at Nurse Born Products who had designed an awesome new product. I loved her idea and it was super fun getting to come up with a creative way to help her display and sell her idea.

Small business to small business, this is why I do what I do!!!

Two Trees and a Bee...

Happy Tuesday!!!

Making clients and friends all across the country is one of my most favorite things about this little business. I love being able to work closely with another small business even though we are miles and miles apart.

I recently had the opportunity to design a logo for a new client/friend and owner of Two Trees and a Bee all the way across the country. She is a nurse who has found the need for a deeply healing, naturally made, hand repair balm, so she made one! And let me tell you, it is AMAZING!! I was graciously sent a sample of her product to try out as I was designing this logo and I am in Love!!!

Working together we created a fun new logo for her product that describes exactly what is IN this amazing hand balm. Three simple ingredients, Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, and Beeswax. Perfection! I adore how this logo turned out and I am so excited to see this small business grow blossom!

Journey in KOPS

Happy Tuesday!!! I hope you are having a wonderful summer. I know I am. My girls and I have been busy filling our summer full of fun adventurous and new experiences.

BUT I did want to take time to share with you a fun little Logo I worked on recently for a lovely new client. She works with a group of ladies dedicated to their Journey in Keeping Off Pounds Simply. I love her enthusiastic spirit and encouragement for the people she works with. Helping them maintain a healthy lifestyle and sticking to their achievement of loosing those pesky unwanted pounds.

Something New!!!

Something Old. Something New. Something Borrowed. Something Yellow!?!?!?!?!

Yes, that is right, did you notice? We have a new look! Many of you who know me personally know that I have a deep love of the color green. Which has been a part of my logo for a long time. BUT after 10, yes TEN, years this summer that I have been in business here at tÜsdé productions I thought it was high time I updated my look a bit.

Something Old:
Yes, my something old is the name of course. I may be changing my look but I am not changing my name. So here is a little history of my company name for my something Old. I LOVE to dance, and when I was first learning to dance the best night was Tuesday!! Then a few years later I was living and working in Germany and my day off was Tuesday. See a trend?? Tuesday quickly became one of my favorite days and when I was in design school this word served as the template for many a class project. The Ü and the é of course are throwbacks to the various languages I encountered during my two years spent in Europe.

Something New:
A new look is not complete without a new font group. Yes it is true I am a font nerd!!! I wanted a clean simple look for my business update and these fonts did the trick. Simple. Elegant. FUN!

Something Borrowed:
Ok, so not really borrowed but more of an image that holds many good memories in my life. This would be the little bird in my logo. I love birds, grew up with two little parakeets when I was a child and have always liked the image that the Lord takes care of the birds of the air, so how much more will He take care of me? It is an image of comfort and strength for me. This bird version is similar to the previous but with a little clean up and simplification.

Something YELLOW!
Ok, we are finally getting down to the root of the new look here. Yellow, and grey, and fun zig-zags.. oh my! As I was contemplating this new design look I thought back to the first few times I knew I wanted to be an artist. I have many fond memories of when I was a small child taking art classes at our local community center or with a dear artist friends of ours. The one project that stands out in my mind is a little yellow house I did with oil pastels. It was framed and hung up in a small art gallery for a while and as a child of 5 or 6 I thought this was SO AMAZING!! Yellow was my favorite color as a kid and it is with this new look that I am making a little nod back to where it all began. Plus it is a super fun, crisp, fresh, happy color!!!

So there you go. It has been an amazing 10 years with my little business. I am grateful for all the wonderful clients and friends I have made along the way and I can not wait to see what the next 10+ years will bring!!

Happy CMC Day!!!

Ok, so no, it is not an official holiday. But today was a big day for Colorado Mountain College.
We have been super busy over here working on several fun projects for todays big CMC Day/Faculty
In-Service Day at the college.

Not only was it a fun challenge to work on so many different projects for one event, I loved getting to work on a coordinating "set" of projects like these. So many various ideas, sizes, versions....

All different.

All the same.

Matching, but not match-matchy.

Yes, this is what makes my little design heart happy!
