With Unconditional Love...

5 years ago today, I was in one of the most beautiful, heartwarming weddings I have had the honor of being a part of.

5 years ago today, I gained my first wonderful Sister-in-Law.

5 years ago today, my brother shared his heart through hand written vows to his beloved.

And today, I get to share with you a little photo project my brother had me design as 5th Anniversary gift to his beloved. Complete with the three little words he used as the signature in his wedding vows...

"With Unconditional Love..."

Matt & Vanessa, congrats, I love you, and many more years of blessing for the both of you!!!

Christmas Countdown #2...

FELIZ NAVIDAD...

Merry Christmas from Mexico!!! Ok, no, I am not in Mexico for Christmas... but keep reading...

For today's Christmas Countdown I proudly present my FAMILY! Can you see now why I like big families so much? I am one of 4 kids, and 3 of us have started families of our own for a total count of 12! Earlier this year we were able to go on a once in a lifetime amazing family vacation to Mexico for a whole week. WOW. To some this may not seem like a big deal, but when you have never been on a vacation with your whole family that did not include some kind of tent setting.... this was a HUGE deal! And then to get all of us together for a whole week... this was a true miracle.

SO, since we were able to get a decent family photo with all of us in it, my parents were more than excited to finally get some Christmas cards out to their friends and family! (This is something that has been on my moms list for a long time...) And I think that I was just as excited to design them.

And Merry Christmas to my wonderful, funny, crazy, adventurous, beautiful family. I LOVE YOU!!!

Christmas Countdown #3...

A SOUTHERN WONDERLAND...

Today's Christmas countdown is very special to me. It represents people who share memories of one of the best years of my life. Capernwray Hall, England!

A few years ago I re-connected with these friends who I met while I was in school in England. This couple actually met at school and later got married and started a beautiful "little" family. I say that with reserve as they have 5 kids and one more on the way!!!

My dear friend has also started her own blog which I LOVE following. I was even given the opportunity a few months ago to be a part of a wonderful wedding giveaway she was hosting on her site.
(Go HERE to see my past post, Go HERE to see her giveaway blog).

And through that participation on her blog, I got to design their beautiful Christmas cards. YAY!

She also has a sister blog with an incredible story of Gods faithfulness and peace in the midst of the storm. If you ever have the chance you should read their story HERE. Amazing!!!

M and C you have such a beautiful family that I know is so very blessed by the Lord. May you all continue to shine brightly as a light and encouragement for so many!

Christmas Countdown #4...

INTO THE HOMES OF THE BROKEN...

I just love BIG families, I know I have mentioned it before, but it is still true!

I love family extensions, you know the kind where friends are really just as close as family.

I love cultural families, the ones with the beautifully colorful mix in their family photo.

AND I love families with BIG hearts...

When I was little my parents hosted International Students from the local University. I was always around new languages and cultures flying around my house, and when I look back on my childhood these are the fond memories that come to mind. I am so grateful for my parents for introducing me to how small this world really is at such a young age. And I get so excited when I see families with BIG hearts introducing their children to the same.

Todays Christmas Countdown melts my heart for how BIG the hearts of this continually growing family are. I am so honored to be connected with these wonderful lives and am blessed to not only call them friends, but family as well.

ENJOY, and Merry Christmas to all you BIG hearted families out there!!!!

HAPPILY EVER AFTER...

I am soooooo very excited that Christmas week is finally here. I have been waiting very patiently to share with you the amazing Christmas cards I have been working on this season. So without further ado.. here is the first one!!!

In March I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph the wedding of some college buddies of mine at the beautiful Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, CO. (go here to see wedding post). A few weeks ago they asked me if I would also design their Christmas card using some of their wedding images. Of course I was very excited about this project, I love Wedding Announcement/Christmas Cards. And a beautiful couple make for beautiful cards!!!

Congrats again Mike and Ashley, I am so honored to be a part of your lives! ENJOY!

Christmas Countdown #6...

IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS...

Today's Christmas Countdown is as simple as a Thank You... oh wait.. 'cause it kinda is. I was asked by my wonderful Sis-in-Law at KC Salon to make her up some little gift coupons she could send to all her clients as a Thank You for their business this year. FUN! I love projects that are sweet and simple but have a big impact, and I love helping people give thanks to others!

ENJOY, and remember to Thank all those who have meant so much to you this year. And to all you wonderful girls at KC Salon, you ROCK.... thanks for being such amazing business women and continuing to care about your clients so personally!

(note: this is not a printable coupon, thanks)

Christmas Countdown #7...

A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR FINALS WEEK...

Ok, so my Christmas Countdown for today is a little different but I still have to share. This one comes as a shout out to all the students cramming and studying and preparing for their college finals. Or if you have finished for the year... a shout out for a job well done! No, I am not in college, but my little brother is and as he is finishing up this semester all I can think about is how many sleepless nights I spent making it to that big day when classes were DONE! (Love you Michaelito and good luck this week.)

These Ads were created for Colorado Mountain College as part of the Spring Registration promotion. (Yes I know the last thing someone stressing about finals wants to think about is going back to class, but you have a break in-between so dont freak out.) The artwork for these goes along with the Summer and Fall Registration material I worked on earlier this year. So of course I had to share and continue the look for Winter. I love how an idea for artwork can keep going throughout the whole year. So much fun!

So ENJOY, and to all you wonderful students out there, best of luck and have a wonderful break!!!
PS.. and yes I am hoping these wonderful snowy scenes will bring on a White Christmas!!!!!

Christmas Countdown #10...

Cards and Posters and Signs and More have been flying around my workstation recently so I decided to do a little Countdown to Christmas with all the fun Seasonal stuff I have been working on. Maybe I like countdowns, maybe I like a challenge to blog more, or maybe I just really like Christmas. Either way, I hope you enjoy this wonderful time of the year with me and so without further ado, here is my Christmas Countdown #10...

NORTH POLE AFTER HOURS!

I wanted to start with this one because I think it just turned out sooo fun. And what's a better way to start the Holidays than with a fundraiser to help kids who might not have as much as we do this Christmas. I was asked my a new friend of mine to help design a poster for their annual Kickoff Party Fundraiser. Of course I said yes, like I said, I love Christmas and love making posters and I love being able to help support local non-profit groups make a difference in peoples lives, so this was my cup of tea.

I am so honored to be a part of this wonderful kick-off party and I hope it blesses many deserving little ones this year. Enjoy, and if you would like more information about this group you can find it HERE!

Fall Family Fun...

I just love big families, and it seems the older we get the larger our family spreads.

I was recently asked to take some fun family photos of a nice large family I have known for quite some time. I have seen the kids grow up and graduate and get married and have kids of their own. I love it! We had such a fun time capturing these precious moments of them all together. This is not something that happens everyday, as those of you with extended family know. I am so fortunate that I could be there to help make memories of this short window while the whole family is in one place, having everyone home from deployment and all living in the same state.

Thanks for sharing your day with me! Blessings to your whole family and many memories to come!

Here are a few of my favorites from that day, ENJOY!!!

Have you seen Me?

Yay! The Holidays are officially upon us. Travel plans are being made and the Thanksgiving turkey is bought and prepped for T-Day. And although it is not yet December, Christmas music is making its chorus on the radio and in all the stores. So this year I decided to play a little Holiday Travel Game.

Here are the stats...

Every year Colorado Mountain College, one of my biggest clients and my wonderful Alma Mater, does a series of banners/signs/billboards around the state to prep for Holiday traffic. This year we had LOTS... and I thought it would be fun to see how many photos I can collect of these banners "on location".

Check out a few that I found last year....

Here is where you come in. There are over 50 different versions and sizes of the CMC banner ranging from DIA, Denver, Colorado Springs, Along I-70, Glenwood Springs and even Grand Junction. There is no way I will be getting to all these places myself so I am asking all of you to keep your eyes open. And when you spot one, or two, or three.. snap a photo and send it to me at littleattitude(at)hotmail.com telling me your name and where you found it/took the photo. I would love to get as many versions and different locations as I can, mainly because I am very curious as to what they look like away from my screen.  I have compiled a little collage of several, but not all, of the versions and sizes that are out there so you have a better idea of what to look for...
THE BEST PART. Yes there is a reward.. or prize if you will. I will give either a 20% discount on a Custom Card Order OR a $10 Starbucks Card (whichever you prefer) to the person to send me the MOST versions of these banners! Contest is open from NOW till the end of December 2010.

So enjoy your Holiday's and Happy Hunting!!!!

20 LOVEly Years...

I recently celebrated my 3rd wedding anniversary, and as I reflected back over the past few years a lot has happened in our lives together... A few weeks ago I had the amazing opportunity to take a few photos for a friends 20th Wedding Anniversary!!! WOW... and I though a lot had happened in 3 years, I can not even begin to imagine what all will happen in the next 17!

October 13 was such a beautiful fall day to take a walk downtown and take some photos in the exact same hotel this young couple was married at 20 years to the day. This wonderful couple also brought their beautiful 2 year old daughter along with them, who really had no idea what a big day this was for her parents, and thought this was all for her of course. We had such a fun time just playing, enjoying the day and reflecting on 20 years of LOVE...

I dearly love this couple and they have taught me a lot in the little time that I have known them. Thank you for letting me capture your little family on your big day. I wish you both many blessings in the next 20+ years to come.

ENJOY!!!

Fun Fall Wedding...

A few months ago I was asked by a childhood friend of mine to help design her wedding stationary. I always love designing for weddings, but this one I knew would be fun. They wanted ROBOTS! Yep, thats right, Robots on their Save-The-Dates, Web Banner, Invites & RSVP! It all started as a joke between my friend and her fiancé... and turned into something they were gonna run with. I am always excited for fun challenges and love it when I get to work with people who have an idea that they want to see come to life. Yesterday was the BIG day and I am so excited to finally show off our Robot Wedding Collection. ENJOY!

CONGRATS Erin and Mike, and I wish the two of you many years of laughter and happiness in your new adventure together.

Design Cafe...

What a crazy fun adventure I have to share with you today! I was asked by my wonderful client and Alma Mater Colorado Mountain College, to help present at a conference for other community colleges. I was one of 4 "artsy" professionals set up with computers for a demonstration and question/answer time during two of the sessions at the conference. I really had no idea what to expect as I waked in, but it was a great experience. I met people from colleges in Texas, Wyoming, Nebraska, New Mexico and Colorado. WOW, had I known that it was this big of a conference I might have been a little more nervous than I was. All in all, it was a wonderful afternoon of networking and sharing design secrets with others in the business. Thanks CMC for helping me feel very professional this afternoon!!!!!

OH, and yes, I designed the Posters and Table Tents for the event as well... Enjoy!!!!!!

Family Fun 2010...

This past weekend was a fun new first for me. I attended the yearly Family Reunion with my husbands side of the family. I have heard stories and seen photos of past events, but this was the first year that we were able to go. Probably because it was local and made traveling with a little one pretty easy.. hehe.  It was a wonderful weekend meeting new family and enjoying the company of everyone who came. This was also a fun event for me because I had been asked to design the Invite Mailer for the whole thing. A very fun project for sure and I have been waiting to be able to show it to you. Enjoy and make sure you give your family a big hug this week!!!!!

And if you have not checked us out on facebook yet, you should!!!

Are You Ready for FALL???

I know I am. I LOVE Fall... the leaves, the colors, the smell of change in the air, oh and birthdays of course.. but that is for a later day. Today I want to share with you one of my favorite places to celebrate Fall, Anderson Farms in Erie, CO. Last year I had the wonderful opportunity to work with them for Fall Festival and I am back for more this year, yay!!!! AND even more exciting is that I was asked to design their new map for the farm. There are a lot of new changes this year and it was time to upgrade the map design. What a fun project this was.. and today I actually got to see it displayed in the information booth surrounded by pumpkins and gourds. YES, Fall is officially here and Fall Festival starts tomorrow!!!!! Everyone in the CO area should make plans to visit Anderson Farms this year... it is sooo much fun!!!!!

So without further ado.. here is the map.. ENJOY!!!!!
PS. A HUGE shout out to my wonderful hubby for helping to sketch all the buildings and signs!!!
I love you babe you are so talented!

Precious Baby Bump!

I love babies, just plain and simple as that. So when I hear that friends are expecting I get SOOO excited. Then when I get asked to design fun cards for these babies I get even more excited. These fun cards were no exception. I was recently asked by a good friend of mine to help design some fun Baby Shower Invitations for her sister who is expecting this fall. Of Course I said yes, I am so excited for this new addition to their family and was honored to be a part of the shower (even if not physically) by designing the cards.

When I was first asked me about designing these invites my friend said she had this very fun idea that she wanted to customize for her sister. I immediately LOVED it. They had some professional silhouette photos taken of her sisters preggo belly, then scanned in the latest ultrasound picture, and TA DA.... A very fun one-of-a-kind Baby Shower Invitation.

I had so much fun designing these and I hope the shower today was wonderful. Cant wait to meet the new little Kimmel when he/she gets here!!!!! ENJOY!

Little Lion of Judah...

I am soooo very excited to share these wonderful Custom Baby Announcements with you today. They have been such a fun project to work on. The best part of these cards is what they represent, culturally and spiritually. Daddy is from Zimbabwe and they wanted to somehow represent the culture and history of cute little Judah. Enter the colors of the Zimbabwe flag, Green, Red & Yellow! Bright, fun and very African! The second element is the little lion. Representing The Lion of Judah! I love it when I get asked to design something fun and unique. These cards were just that, and I ADORE how they turned out.

To top it all off, I got to designed these cards for the precious new baby of a good friend of mine. I have known his mommy since the middle school days of climbing trees, forts and slumber parties. Now we are both mommies with little ones of our own. It amazes me how life can come back in a full circle sometimes.

Congrats Kim and Rich, Judah is one lucky little boy to have you as parents!!!!!! ENJOY!

Cheers for Three Years!!!!!

Three years ago today, I became a wife. There were Bagpipes, Fairies, a Castle (ok, small stone Church but as close as I could get). It was the perfect setting for a perfect day. So much has happened in the past few years and yet I still feel like it was just yesterday that we said "I DO" before all of our dearest friends and family. Thanks for being by my side for three wonderfully crazy years Babe. I LOVE YOU!!!!!

AND SO, to remember that wonderful summer day under the trees, I have FINALLY gotten my wedding album designed. I am beyond excited to show this to you and even more excited to finally have my album done... whew. I don't often get to design stuff for myself so when I do it is a big deal and I have been waiting with great anticipation for the past few weeks to show it off.

This project could not have been done alone though. I was so honored to have my wonderful friend, and boss at the time, Erin at Art & Soul Photography shoot my wedding photos. I LOVE her work and she captured our day perfectly. THANKS Erin for letting me design to my hearts content with your wonderful images, you rock!

I also have to give a shout out to my wonderful Florist. Heather & Scott at A Funky Little Mountain Flower. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your amazing talents with us that day. I loved my flowers and they fit so well with our whole day that it was the icing on the cake. THANKS!!!!!!!

So now, sit back, relax and enjoy a little glimpse into our BIG day.

Here's to 3 wonderful years and many more to come. I love you Ben!!!!
