Christmas Countdown #7 - Reflect the Lords Glory!

This time of year a lot of us tend to start reflecting about all that has happened this year as we near the end of 2015. The good, the bad, the ups, the downs. If any of you are like me, you could probably write a book about the things that have happened this year. Yes, it is a good time to reflect on all that we have come through, learned, and overcome in the year 2015.

It is also a time to reflect on The ONE whom this Holiday is all about in the first place. Our Christmas Countdown design for today is a custom verse print I designed for the Upon The Rock's silent auction. It is the camp verse for this year and one that I have often found myself going back to again and again. Yes, who are we reflecting? What do our words and actions have to say about who we serve and how we live? Such a powerful encouraging verse with a wonderful reminder and promise that we are HIS! Chosen and loved, being transformed into His perfect likeness!!

ENJOY and may you all know that you are loved today!!!

The Solid Rock...

Happy Tuesday!!!!

Today I am sharing a little print that is very near and dear to my heart. The words of my fathers favorite Hymn, put into image with my fathers favorite hobby. My father has always been an avid rock climber, which is why this song was one of his favorites. So merging these two is an image I have had in my head a lot lately and I finally had the chance to put that image in visual form. It is a promise, a reminder, a comfort... that when all else around us seems to be falling and fading and sinking away.... we have a solid rock to cling to!!!!

ENJOY!!!

Until The Cloud Has Lifted!!

Happy Tuesday!!!

A few weeks ago my dear mother shared a scripture verse with me that set my creative mind to work. I just HAD to turn this beautiful promise into a print.

We have all faced, or are currently facing, some kind of storm in life and it may feel like we are stuck. We try to move forward but we can not, we feel as if there is no end in sight. But the Lord promised the Israelites way back in the desert that there will be a day when the cloud WILL lift and on that day we can move forward and continue on our journey. This promise is still true today. So be encouraged dear friends one day that cloud WILL lift and life will shine again!

ENJOY!

A Day to Pray!

Happy National Day of Prayer!!

This morning I was honored to not only attend an amazing prayer breakfast, but to also help design the programs for todays event. It was such an amazing blessing to see so many local large and small business owners/employers come together with a group of pastors and town leaders to pray for our community. A true inspiration to see the community come together despite their differences or personal beliefs to honor National Day of Prayer and know the value of prayer and integrity in our daily place of work.

So if you have not already, I encourage you to take a moment to pray for our Leaders, our Community, and our Nation today!!

ENJOY

Hold on to the Good!

Happy Tuesday!!!

Hello everybody, I just wanted to share a fun little print I designed recently for a ministry that is so very dear to my heart, Upon The Rock Christian Camp.

Every year UTR holds an annual silent auction and fundraiser to help support and grow their ministry as well as provide the means for more and more kids to attend a life changing week at summer camp! Last year I decided to take the camp verse for the year and create a fun memory print to be auctioned off at this event. This year I was able to do the same and I LOVE how it turned out.

What a fun way to commemorate the amazing camp year and all the lives that were changed through this ministry, the hard working hands behind it, and our Great and Loving Lord and Savior!!

ENJOY and may this print be a wonderful reminder and encouragement of how Good God is!

LIFT Student Ministries!

Happy Tuesday!!!

I am so excited to share two new fun logos with you today. I have been chomping at the bit to post these and today is that day! Recently I worked on two logo designs for the Student Ministries at Family in Christ Community Church. One for their main logo and the other one for their annual retreat. Both turned out so fun and I am beyond honored to help play a small part in the amazing ministry that these kids and leaders are a part of!

Perfect Shalom...

"YAY! It's LIVE!"

Yes, these were the first words that popped into my head this morning as I checked into the happenings of computer world (aka Facebook).

My dear friends new website/blog Perfect Shalom is officially live! Which means I can finally share the beautiful logo I created for this new all-in-one homepage of hers. I love getting to work with creative, talented and encouraging clients. And my dear friend Mandy is no exception. Over the past few years it has been a blessing to be able to follow her family and their antics via her blog posts. Watch the creativity blossom through her growing photography business Mandy Smith Studio. Pray with them as they packed up their 6 kids and headed to the other side of the world. Not to mention the amazing giveaways she hosts through Fabulous Friday Freebies.

I am so excited for this new site to finally be live. It is beautiful!!!! Please go take a look at the Perfect Shalom website, Mandy's web designer did an amazing job! AND don't forget to check out her new Perfect Shalom Facebook page as well.

May this site continue to be a blessing and encouragement to countless others as it has been for me.

ENJOY!

And a little signature to match as well... Cute!

Christmas Showcase #15 - Make a Joyful Noise!

Happy Sunday!!!! It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas more and more each day here. Today's To-Do-Before-the-Holiday check list was brought to you by the wonderful voices of my daughters little choir with a delightful Christmas performance at Family in Christ Community Church this morning. I just love listening to, and watching, these kids perform - and as always, todays performance did not disappoint! Complete with: dress twirling, nap taking, shepherds' staff sword-fighting, sibling pinching and a whole lot of mid-song "Hi Mom" waving!!! Indeed, it is the most wonderful time of the year!

In honor of todays entertaining performance, I wanted to share with you a fun little number I worked on recently for our local church. Yes, not only do I have the opportunity to work with some of our local businesses, but I have also had the privilege of working with several churches as well.

Family in Christ (FIC) recently completed a new expansion project and they wanted to share the news, and the new space, with their neighbors. Each year the church sends out a little newsletter/newspaper with info about the church and updates for the new year. This year they wanted to focus the newsletter on the new expansion with a little Christmas flare added in. I had so much fun updating the design on this project. And the cute kids choir on the front was the perfect icing on the cake!

ENJOY!

Women For JOY!!!

Last week I had the amazing opportunity to meet and work with an inspirational, unique, individual who is fighting for the freedom of so many children around the world through JOY International. This man has actually gone barefoot (Yes, even here in Colorado) for THREE years to help raise awareness about children being sold into slavery. WOW!

I was honored to be asked to design their upcoming "Women For JOY Conference" Logo as well as other promotional items needed. I love how the designs turned out, the image of a bird being set free is a wonderful picture of what needs to be done for these suffering children all around the world.

ENJOY and if you want to learn more about this incredible ministry you can learn more HERE.

Let Creation Speak...

Happy Monday!!! Today I want to share with you a fun little project that is very dear to my heart.

In my business I love meeting new clients and designing different projects to suit their needs. Each new project helps broaden my creative ideas and gives me a new chance to learn and grow in my design abilities. Yes, I love meeting new people!!!! BUT one of my favorite things about what I do is that I also get to design things a little closer to home. It is always a compliment to me when my own family wants me to design something for them. I love my family!!!

I was recently asked by my Sister and Brother-in-Law to design some ministry materials for them.
They have an amazing opportunity ahead of them and I was thrilled to be a part of this new adventure!!!! I love how fun this project turned out - clean, simple, and eye catching. Exactly what they needed.
OH, and I also love projects that I get to be "matchy-matchy" with... and this one was just that!!!!

ENJOY and blessings on your new adventure Downings, I love you guys!!!!!
